The Wittenberg Cornell Slide Trail is a 9.3 mile trail located in the Slide Mountain Wilderness in the Catskills. It passes over the Burroughs range, Wittenberg Mountain, Cornell Mountain, and Slide Mountain. This trail can be taken as part of a loop, out-and-back, or traverse.
Water
This trail can be relatively dry in the summer with a decent but unreliable spring on the eastern side of Slide. Hikers should be sure to bring plenty of water or check recent trail conditions before setting out to ensure they stay adequately hydrated.
